3D Animator, Production Assistant, and 3D Generalist

Hello, my name is Reza Kaveh, and I am a student at California State University Fullerton, I have a profound interest in Animation and wish to join the industry. Ever since I was a child I have been interested in the world of Animation and Film. I have been playing video games and watching films every day. Whenever I have been down, or need a breather, I can escape into these worlds and let my worries temporarily leave me. I have always been interested in pushing the boundaries and incorporating my own spin on things. I enthusiastically yearn to enter the career field and engage more with the untapped knowledge I have yet to find and my unknown potential yet to be breached. I wish to create stories, learn how to structure them, and mold them into reality. I do it not only for pleasure but also to learn as I incorporate it into the present and future. I plan on attending as many classes in different sections of the world of film and games. I wish to learn to professionally rig, model, animate, produce, and direct. I want to be able to create my stories, and characters, create and animate them, for others along with myself. I intend to strengthen myskills in every area, primarily in 3D animation, pre-production, and filmmaking, along with other fields of animation, like 2D animation.

I desire to also further my skills in light logic, and the anatomy of humans and creatures alike. I wish to boost my imagination, creativity, and skills within this program. I look forward to learning special storyboarding and pre-production as I find it profound long enticing. Films and the story of games have always been my primary interests, creating this web of life, creating characters that engage with the audience and help lift their own troubles and problems off their own personal lives, if only for a couple of hours. The idea of being able to go to another planet, galaxy, universe, or dimension is what continues to be inspired. To create something that may not be possible now but could be in the future, to make characters that seem ridiculous and out of this world, and make them funny, interesting, and often relatable through emotional and physical actions.

I want to continue learning about animation, create and establish skills, and networking with students and teachers alike. I want to join this field because I enjoy making films for the enjoyment of others. I want to test myself more and learn as much as I can for however long it takes. I wish to join the world of Filmmaking ultimately. I wish to share my visions and entertain those around the world. I spend every day learning more about the world of film and animation and trying to replicate and process it. I want to make art and films that promote people from all different parts of the world.

One of my favorite quotes is from the book The Illusion of Life, Disney Animation, written by Frank Thomas and Ollie Jonhston, two of the Nine Old Men. Walt Disney stated, “I am interested in entertaining people, in bringing pleasure, particularly laughter, to others, rather being concerned with “expressing’ myself with obscure creative impression”. I relate very much to this and it helps fuel my creativity, passion, and drive every day to strive towards my goals and career. I understand that it will not be easy or simple. I may often have hardships, but I know that I have what it takes to engage in it. I can learn more to make art that is abstract or shown with clear intent, I can learn to create anything I want digitally, and that the only limitations would be my imagination
